Rhys - in reality, how much traffic do you get from facebook - is it a significant amount?
Over the last 3 months, Facebook has sent me about 150 visitors from the site to my blog. It is my 11th biggest referrer (behind Jemjabella in 10th & ahead of weblogtoolscollection.com - it'd be 10th if Jem hadn't posted the post about my poem!).
It's still a growing niche for me the fan pages. I'm a member of a couple of blogging forums & they have sent me a few links, plus this place is the one place I haven't got a link to it in the signature.
I've heard stories that facebook converts pretty well, and it shows as you build up a hugely relevant list. Let me explain.
I have 40 people on my fan page. That has sent me 153 people, which is roughly for each person visits 3 times. Comparing to Twitter (which sent me 623 visitors), only half of my 911 followers has visited my blog (in fact it's a lot less than that, due to retweets of links etc).
It's a rough science, but Facebook could be a great way to get an engaged audience to your blog. Certainly if you follow my tutorials!
